Meet the Team

Joe Cassani

Owner

Joe Cassani, a native Vermonter, is the founder and President of Live Outdoors Landscaping, Inc., based in Shelburne, Vermont.

Joe has over 20 years of experience in the landscaping and hardscape industry.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his family at their camp on Joes Pond and archery hunting.

Maggie O'Brien

Office Manager

Maggie is the person behind the phone and emails. With years of experience managing landscape companies, she came on our team in 2026.

Outside of work, Maggie owns a small farm in Starksboro, VT and spends her time managing animals and haying in the summer months.

Shaun Sweet

Softscape Manager

With years of experience in landscape management, Shaun brings indispensable knowledge to the Live Outdoors team. He manages our Softscape Crew and is always happy to hop on a mower if needed.

Outside of work, Shaun loves spending time with his two kids and cooking new recipes for his family and friends.

Zaina Aviles

Landscape Designer

Zaina helps bring your ideas to life. She is a crucial part of Live Outdoors. When she is not in the office designing landscapes, she is running our Garden Crew and installing beautiful landscapes.

Outside of work, Zaina loves exploring Vermont eateries and vacationing in the Outer Banks, NC.
